Tubes are the most common type of tire found on dirt bikes. Tube tires have the longest technology for being around for 100 years. They have an inner tube that holds the air, and the tire is mounted on the rim. The biggest advantage of tube tires is that they are cheaper than other types of tires, making them a popular choice for beginner riders. Additionally, if a tube gets punctured or damaged, it can easily be replaced without having to replace the entire tire.
However, tube tires have some disadvantages. They are more prone to getting flats and punctures, which can be a hassle to fix if you're out on the trail. Additionally, if the tube gets pinched between the tire and rim, it can cause a blowout, which can be dangerous.
Tubliss tires have become increasingly popular in recent years, as they offer some significant advantages over tube tires. They are the latest technology, having no inner tube and rely on a sealant to hold the air. This makes them less prone to flats and punctures, as there is no tube to puncture. Additionally, they offer better traction and control, as the tire can conform to the terrain more easily. Run half the air pressure, and get twice the traction, with no pinch flats!

]]>After taking the lead and building on it since Day 2, the team of Great Britain's fastest riders come out on top to win the World Trophy, marking their first win since 1953! With a full team of healthy riders lead by Nathan Watson, they battled the world for eleven laps until celebrations started and they were crowned victorious. Italy's Andrea Verona was the overall winner of the day and helped bump the Italians to the second place spot, beating Spain's overall time by only five tenths of a second. It was host nation France who took fourth, with the United States in fifth. All four US riders made it through the six days but were simply beat by an unbelievably fast field of the world's best riders.
Leading from Day 1, the young guns of Italy swept the 6 Days in high fashion as they win the Junior World Trophy for a second year in a row! Despite keeping close to the leaders, Finland had to settle for a second place overall in front of the third place Australians. Although the USA was out as a team, Austin Walton claimed the overall individual win on Day 6 atop Italy's Morgan Lesiardo and fellow USA teammate Mateo Oliveira.
USA Womens World Trophy Team
Many expected it to be another title defense for the ladies of the USA, but after a crucial injury on Day 4 Great Britain would take the number 1 spot and hold that lead through the finale, earning their first ever Womens World Trophy! They maintained a healthy lead over native France and Australia. Winning the individual overall for the day was the USA's Korie Steede finishing before Canada's Shelby Turner and USA teammate Rachel Gutish.
Anson Maloney (GTBN Team)
49th O/A Club, 20th in C2, 10th US Club Rider
Anson would have a rough start to Day 6's Motocross Test, getting an undesirable start off the gate and getting caught up in a big pile up in the first lap. But Maloney would work his way up and have some exciting battles to finish 49th out of over 300 riders overall. His end results are 20th in Club, 7th in the C2 class, and the 5th fastest Club rider for the USA! He rode as the fastest competitor for the GTBN Club Team with Travis Reynaud and Jaden Dahners to finish just out of the top five, securing the spot as the 6th fastest Club Team out of 128 against a very fast field of the world's best Club riders.
Anson is very happy with his performance in this year's ISDE and is stoked to have gotten through without issues in health or his bike. It is unclear whether he'll make another run at future ISDEs, "but maybe again someday!"
Anthony Ferrante (Mojo Team)
71st O/A Club, 27th in C1, 12th US Club Rider
Anthony would also have a rough start to the moto test, getting pushed to the outside on the sweeping first turn and getting caught in the same pile up as Anson. He would finish 29th of 30 in his moto and 71st overall in Club on the day. Despite not having the Day 6 he wanted, Ferrante would finish the Six Days in an impressive 26th overall in Club, 13th in the C1 class, and the 6th fastest rider for the USA right behind his teammate Anson!
In his 2nd FIM ISDE outing Anthony had a ton of fun repping the USA and the Mojo Motosport Club Team. While Day 6 didn't go as we wanted, he gave it his all and is very proud of his riding throughout the 6 Days!
Dunlop GeoMax Challenge
Day 6 of Club competition wasn't all that bad for Mojo riders Maloney and Ferrante, as they finished in the 2nd and 3rd place overall spots for the podium of the Dunlop Geomax Challenge! XC Gear Club Team's Kai Aiello was the fastest of the challenge making it and American sweep on the podium as the top 5 riders of the challenge earn prizes such as rider kits, a special 6Days tire package, merch, and more. Awesome job guys!
Overall MojoMotoSport is very proud of each rider we helped send off to France. Our two veterans finished yet another ISDE and our two new riders walk away with incredible experiences to build upon in the future. Thank you to everyone who has supported the journey and kept up with our guys throughout the week, we will have to see who will qualify for Argentina next year!
]]>With his team eying the first place position, Josep Garcia continues to set the fastest pace in hopes to get Spain in good position to pass Great Britain tomorrow in the final day of racing. But while Garcia may be the fastest, the UK stays most consistent and remains up top lead by Nathan Watson. Kailub Russell finished as the fastest American recording Top 10 times throughout the day and keeps the USA (who is the last remaining full team of riders) in the Top 5 in the overall standings. With one last day remaining being the motocross track the Americans will need a miracle to pass 4th place France, let alone Italy as the final podium spot.
Despite a third place overall finish on Day 5, Italy remains at the top of Junior World Trophy standings ahead of Finland and Australia. Mateo Oliveira actually recorded 3 positions higher than his older brother Dante as he chases an individual gold medal
USA Womens World Trophy Team
After yesterday's devastating news about Brandy Richards crash, the USA is out of any running for a World Trophy in the Women's category. But that won't stop teammates Korie Steede and Rachel Gutish from putting up consistent and fast times. With a nearly 15 minute lead over 2nd place France, the ladies of the UK head into the final day of competition with high hopes of winning their first ever World Trophy in the women's category.

Finishing fastest on the day for the GTBN Club Team, Anson is in a good flow and ready to close out the final day of ISDE competition on a high note. As a team they sit just 3 minutes behind the 5th place Ligue AURA Team, and you can be sure they are going out gunning for a top 5 finish come tomorrow afternoon!

Lone wolf Anthony Ferrante is riding consistent times very close to fellow Mojo rider Anson. In a stacked C1 class he is also eager to end with a bang and is very excited to take on tomorrows motocross track. After seeing him pull the holeshot in last years moto race we are confident he is gunning for it again this year!
Dunlop GeoMax Challenge
Classification after Day 5 shows Anson Maloney moving back down to the 3rd position of the Dunlop Geomax Challenge, with Charlie Chater having a really good day and managing to just barely get ahead of Anson, currently leading him by only 4 seconds total. Anthony Ferrante stays in the 4th place spot and certainly wouldn't mind getting a pass over his old mentor and riding buddy in tomorrow's motocross test!
ISDE France is almost at an end, and it has been a rather rough ride for the Americans, not only for our Mojo riders but some of the World Trophy riders as well. But with the final day comes a fast and fun motocross track, so we are very excited to see our boys throw down one final time for the US of A!
]]>Great Britain continues to lead after two thirds of the FIM International Six Days of Enduro. Spain's Josep Garcia managed to bring the Spaniards back into second place in the overall standings putting last year's victors Italy into the third place spot. Despite Sweden taking the fifth on the day, the USA remains fifth in the overall standings. It seems that Dante Oliveira had a mishap at some point today, recording a 43 minute time compared to the rest of our team who averaged 39 minutes, but the USA will live to fight another day as they remain very hopeful for a final spot on the podium this year.
The USA's young guns Mateo Oliveira and Austin Walton keep hammering down fast results despite being out of contention as a team from Day 1. But this year it looks to be all about Team Italy in the Junior category as they win yet another day ahead of Finland and Australia, further extending their demanding lead to 3 minutes now.
USA Womens World Trophy Team
Heartbreak in France for our ladies! Day 4 saw a dramatic change in the Women’s World Trophy competition as our Team USA leader Brandy Richards crashed out and was forced to retire with a concussion and small spleen laceration. Houring out for the day means the US will be out of meaningful contention, allowing Great Britain to taking up the top spot in overall standing ahead of native France and Australia. Brandy is alright now, and we can be sure that she will be back with her eyes set on a proper comeback for next year!
Anson Maloney (GTBN Team)
18th O/A Club, 7th in C2, 4th US Club Rider
Seasoned ISDE racer and Mojo veteran Anson continues building more and more each day on his speed and standings. Putting on consistent test times to record 18th overall for the day, he puts himself at 19th in the total overall standings. He is contributing tremendously to the GTBN Club Team's success as they now sit just outside the top 5 in team competition only 3 1/2 minutes behind fifth place. After getting through today's repeat loop of yesterday's he is excited for fresh grass yet again as they take on new scenery tomorrow morning!

Young but ISDE-experienced rider Anthony Ferrante continues to represent the USA in fast fashion. Operating as a lone wolf now for the Mojo Motosport Club Team after teammates Josh and Shane were forced to retire, he has no interest in taking it easy on the GasGas with his eyes set on an individual gold medal. With fresh terrain and a motocross track coming up on the final two days expect to see him put it all out there and finish with a bang!
Dunlop GeoMax Challenge
Day 4 festivities saw our very own Anson Maloney take the 2nd place position from XC Gear Club Team's Kai Aiello in overall standing for the Dunlop Geomax Challenge. All who remains in front in the standing is XC Gear's Tyler Vore who is less than a minute in front now. While this challenge is not the main focus of any rider, it serves as a nice side challenge for those who chose to enter. Anthony Ferrante remains in the 4th position and will look to enter Anson's previous number 3 position soon...
It should be noted that while our other Mojo Club Team riders Josh Chassaing and Shane Siebenthall are out of the rest of ISDE contention, they continue cheering on Anson and Anthony as much as possible with hopes to see their teammates tear up the French fields!
For the second day in a row the UK is on top. Steve Holcombe and Nathan Watson continue charging and maintain a 2 1/2 minute lead over second place Italy and Spain. Quite a few injuries & incidents today as Spain's Josep Garcia had a gash in his right arm and USA's Kailub Russel had swelling return in his previously injured right knee. But both are heavy contenders and will fight to race another day. Team USA ended up dropping down to fifth in the overall standings as home team France put on an impressive collection times.
In the Junior World Trophy category Italy continues to put on a show and maintain the #1 position ahead of Finland and Australia with a 2 minute total lead. Mateo Oliveira and Austin Walton of Team USA continue to charge hard and hammer down podium-worthy results despite the team being out of contention.

For the third straight day the USA dominates the field and extends their overall lead ahead of Great Britain and native France! Brandy Richards finishes the day 2 minutes faster than anyone else with her eyes set on bring that World Trophy back to the US. Could we see a 6 Day sweep by the US ladies? We will have to see...

Although he had a little rough start, Anson finished the day consistent with previous days 18th overall. Halfway through the Six Days of Enduro, "Mojo" Maloney is sitting on an impressive 17th overall position and looks to continue helping his GTBN teammates Jaden Dahners and Travis Reynaud, who collectively stand in 8th position in the Club standings.

Now that the Mojo Club Team is out of contention, Anthony is focused on his individual score & improving his test times with his eye on that gold medal.
If you ask him, he had a slow day and he looks to get back into his gold medal speed, but Anthony has 3 more days and is doing a great job keeping up with Anson!
Shane Siebenthall (Mojo Team)
DNF, Broken Collarbone
Unfortunately Shane had a bad get-off today in a transfer between tests. After being woken by another rider he got back on his bike and attempted to push on in Test 3, but would have to ride 2 hours back with a broken collarbone and concussion before finally making it to medical. He is well now but of course will be out of contention for the rest of ISDE. He is eager to get back at it and is remaining positive, saying he will be back to settle some unfinished business with ISDE!
Dunlop GeoMax Challenge
Anson Maloney and Anthony Ferrante remain in the same 3rd and 4th positions of the Dunlop Challenge, which aims to support and promote club riders and teams. While they would rather win a gold medal more than anthything, our Mojo riders will continue to push on and maybe even win some sweet Dunlop tires and Goodies!
Needless to say, Day 3 of the FIM International Six Days of Enduro has been testing for riders of all categories. While it is unfortunate to see our first-year riders have to pull out of racing, we are excited to see two Mojo riders and ISDE vets keep hammering down and represent their country! ]]>Day 2 of Six Days was all about Great Britain. Honda rider Nathan Watson was leading the charge allowing the UK to take the top position heading into Day 3 tomorrow. Team Spain struggled, dropping down to third place in the standings, while the US of A stays consistent in the fourth place spot led by Dante Oliveira, eager to gain ground and get a taste of the podium position.
It is now confirmed that the US Junior Trophy Team is out of the running for anything other than last place after Cody Barnes had mechanical issues with his Honda during Day 1 yesterday, rendering him out for the rest of the following days. Regardless, Mateo Oliveira and Auston Walton look to keep up the pace and go out with a bang! Team Italy remains on top after two days followed by Finland and Great Britain.

Anson was excited to start on an earlier minute today after Day 1 results. He was also excited to be on the same minute as US rider Tyler Vore. This made the day go much smoother as riders are getting pared up based on test times rather than random order. Any who have done an Enduro know it's always fun to ride the same minute with a buddy so you can help support each other & push each other through the sections of the race day. Day 3 is all new & Anson can't wait to hit some fresh transfers & special tests.

Anthony mentioned the tests were much rougher than yesterday, but he managed to stay consistent & off the ground for the 178mi day. He's still running towards the top of the club team times & will have an early minute for Day 3 tomorrow. With a good nights rest & a little more intensity on the bike, we're confident he'll deliver with the An-fron-tango speed we know he has in the tank! To help pump up his intensity we may have found an extra cowbell to make sure he can hear us cheering at each test tomorrow..
Shane Siebenthall (Mojo Team)
91st overall club, 37th in C1, 14th US Club Rider.
Shane rode another consistent day for Day 2. After a recent wrist injury, we knew he'd have to fight through the pain to make it through each day. He did exactly that today & brought home a respectable finish for Day 2. With some therapy, ice, & Ibuprofen we'll help him keep the wrist in shape so he can continue putting in constant days. Of all the riders, Shane is most excited for some fresh trail tomorrow & less chop on the wrist.
Josh Chassaing (Mojo Team)

Josh has been battling a sickness since just before race start on Sunday. Unfortunately at test 3 today, after many crashes, he decided the right call was to pull out from the race rather than risk injury. Josh will continue to support the entire US team but from a support position rather than on the bike. Debilitating sickness can happen from time to time when traveling to a foreign country. We're just as bummed out as he is that it happened to him this year. He's learned a lot in his week in France from bike prep, to ISDE logistics, to seeing what 180mi of an ISDE feels like. We hope this trip & unfortunate circumstance gives him the drive & the need to come back for redemption!
Dunlop GeoMax Challenge
The Dunlop Geomax Challenge, introduced for the 2021 edition in Italy, aims to support and promote club and amateur riders. Free and open to any individual registration with no constraints. The only requirement is to ride with EN91 tyres to access benefits:
As the results stand after Day 2, both Anson Maloney & Anthony Ferrante sit in the 3rd and 4th place spots out of 24 registered riders, not far behind XC GEAR Club Team's Tyler Vore and Kai Aello. Shane Siebenthall is also registered sitting in the Top 10 at 9th place. It will be interesting to see how this challenge progresses!
Unfortunately the Mojo Motosport Club Team will be out for the running as a team, but the rest of our riders are still in great standings and picking up the pace into Day 3. Tomorrow is a completely new course for Days 3-4 and the riders are ready to ride something new/will appreciate the less blown out tests & change of scenery. With a little rain hitting today, we'll see how the weather holds out. Tests & transfers could get very interesting later on in the week.... Stay tuned!

After an exciting start off the paddock, the US Men's Trophy Team consisting of our countries fastest off-road riders is sitting in 4th Place behind last year's champion Italy, the UK, and the current leader Spain. Team Spain is showing up with strong speed lead by Josep Garcia who recorded the fastest test time more than 5 seconds faster than the rest of the field. But with the first day jitters and excitement leading up to Day 1 out of the way, expect to see the US riders come out swinging tomorrow morning and make a charge for a podium spot!
An unfortunate start for the Junior Trophy Team. After the first test the US was sitting in an awesome 1st place spot, however it seems that there was a mechanical mishap for Honda rider Cody Barnes in between test 1 & 2, putting the United States into last place for the day. It will be tough for our junior team to come back from this as the overall times put the US roughly 2 hours behind 13th place Germany who has the slowest recorded time with a full time of riders who finished.
USA Womens World Trophy Team
Once again the USA is putting on a great show in the women's category! Brandy Richards leads a tremendous charge to put the United States at a great lead ahead of the UK and France heading into Day 2. First-time ISDE rider Korie Steed also contributed tremendously with 2nd overall on the day behind Richards.

Anson rode a solid consistent day. 22nd overall Club, 7th in C2 & 5th fastest US Club rider.
The test times were not where he wanted to be, but day 1 is always that way unless you start up front. With the dust & passing the same slower riders each test after check minute resets, it's a challenge to put your absolute best times down. As he moves up in the starting order tomorrow we anticipate excellent results as he lays down that "Mojo" Maloney speed with clean air. He's excited for tomorrow & continued improvements throughout the week.
Anthony Ferrante (Mojo Club Team)
Anthony had a stellar day as the top Mojo Team rider. 18th Overall Club, 2nd in C1 & 3rd fastest US Club rider.
Anthony was fortunate to start closer to the front on day 1. He didn't take that for granted though as he laid down solid test times in every special test. Even with (1) dirt sample in test 5, Anthony's times are good enough for him to remain at the front of the starting club lineup for Day 2. He feels he has a little more left in the tank & with day 2 being the exact same course he believes he can capitalize on certain areas to make up more time on riders ahead of him.
Shane Siebenthall (Mojo Team)
78th Overall Club, 38th in C1 & 10th fastest US Club rider.
Shane felt good about today but is eager to improve his results. As a first year ISDE racer he is finding his Mojo on the long 180mi day 1. Starting further back, he had plenty of dust & slower riders to contend with, but is excited to hit the same course again tomorrow & improve his results.

Less than 2 weeks ago Josh was called up to fill in for an injured US rider. Josh answered the call by stepping up to fill the open spot created by the re-shuffling of the Mojo Club Team. With little time to prep & starting waaay in the back, Josh persevered through the day. Unfortunately a critical error was made when getting lost for a short time on the route. Josh's results are unofficial today as we await to hear the decision on his times & starting order tomorrow. Check back for ISDE Day 2 update for more information.

]]>With the official announcement of Teams USA's roster for this year's International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE), now is the time to introduce you all to a stellar trio of local District 36 riders selected to represent our country! Everyone, meet Anson Maloney, Anthony Ferrante, and Shane Siebenthall! Here's everything you need to know about this years race and the riders attending.
Le Puy-En-Velay
The FIM International Six Days of Enduro, the 6 Days, return to the territory that saw the birth of enduro in France, the Haute-Loire department, in the heart of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, 42 years after the 1980 edition in Brioude. The race, in the purest tradition of French enduro, will take place in the west, south and north of the Haute-Loire, as far as the northern half of the Lozère in the neighbouring Occitanie region. With an average altitude of 1,000 m and peaks of 1,400 m, it is a race of technical liaison that awaits the competitors of the 96th edition with increasing difficulty as the days go by.
Two thirds of the race take place in the former royal province of the 17th century, the Gévaudan, between the Haute-Loire and Lozère, made famous by the Beast of Gévaudan. This beast, a very large canid, killed more than a hundred people between 1764 and 1767. The story caused a stir throughout the kingdom of France and beyond, including articles in British and German newspapers. On June 19th 1767, the beast was shot. Although the Beast of Gévaudan did exist, its true nature remains a mystery to this day. Part of the course for the first two days, loop 1, passes through La Fayette country, birthplace of General de La Fayette, still celebrated across the Atlantic for his decisive involvement in the American War of Independence. This will surely be a remarkable experience for racers, spectators, and anyone else attending!
Our Riders
It's safe to say that Anson "Mojo" Maloney is no longer a stranger to ISDE. Having represented USA three times now, France will be his fourth endeavor for a gold medal in his career. A beloved member of NorCal's offroad community and longtime MojoMotoSport ambassador, he will be leading the charge for this promising team of riders aboard a 2022 KTM 350 XC-F in the C2 Class!
Returning to the ISDE scene after a solid rookie trip in Italy last year, Anthony Ferrante will bring a new 2022 GasGas EX250F for the C1 Class to build on a successful ISDE race and bring home another gold medal to the states. He managed to pull off some impressive tests last year and even grabbed the holeshot on Day 6's moto race!
Filling Anthony's previous role of team rookie, Shane Siebenthall will be heading to France for the first ISDE race of his career! We have no doubt this young man will have a great time at this event and are really looking forward to see him compete with the world's best racers with his 2022 GasGas EX250F in the C1 Class as well.

]]>Hey everyone! We're back with yet another blog post highlighting an exciting new product. This time I am introducing Rigid Industries' ADAPT-XE Moto LED Light Kit, featuring cutting-edge technology with an innovative and modern-looking design.

Rigid Industries' Moto Headlight has a signature look that is unlike any other off-road motorcycle LED light on the market. But the coolest part of this kit is what's on the inside with two layers of adaptive response to your bike and riding conditions!
The 1st layer of adaptive response is RIGIDs Active Power Management (APM) system which continuously monitors input voltage to determine the status of the vehicles electrical system. If the voltage is stable, the ADAPT-XE will continue to utilize all available power to give you the most output possible. If the available voltage to the light begins to drop due to insufficient power, RIGIDs APM system will gradually reduce the lights power consumption until the bikes voltage stabilizes.
The 2nd layer of adaptive response featured in the ADAPT-XE is Rigid's proven Active View Technology, which uses an internal GPS module to determine the bikes speed to allow the Adapt to properly distribute all available power among three unique optic zones. Utilizing the three optic zones allows the Active View Technology to create the ideal beam pattern to suit the riders needs. As the vehicles speed changes, power is dynamically routed through various optic zones utilizing scene optics for low speed, driving optics for moderate speed and spot optics for high-speed driving. Power is transferred gradually between optic zones allowing for a seamless transition between beam patterns, so that it can provide brighter and more natural looking light to reduce eye fatigue.
As an extra feature, the ADAPT-XE features a Magnetic Reed power clip for additional customization. Leaving the switch in place limits the light to consuming a maximum of 2.7 amps. When the switch is removed the light will consume up to 5.6 amps when all zones are activated.

]]>There is absolutely nothing like getting your hands on a brand new bike straight out of the dealership. Bone-stock, it almost makes you want to just set it on display in your shop! Sometimes, the thought of crashing on its first ride makes you not want to take the risk altogether...
Up here in NorCal, we find some very unforgiving terrain. You can encounter just about anything from granite slabs to burnt manzanita and even rocky sand whoops. I've seen and heard a lot of bikes slide, scape, slam, and eventually break from the strangest hits and falls, and of course even taken part in a few myself. Every time this happens, all I can think of is how happy I am that didn't cheap out on protective parts because a lot of times these crashes can end your day right then and there. No one wants to be the guy with a bent brake rotor or destroyed linkage 40 miles deep in the singletrack!
With this said let's get into what I personally think are the Top 5 Essential Parts to protect your dirtbike! I'll share with you the part I personally run on my 2009 KTM 250 XC-W as well to give you an idea.
Starting with #5 we have the Pipe Guards. These serve for a couple different purposes: protection from impact and also heat. 2 stroke riders seem to be pretty split on whether to install a Pipe Guard on their new pipes, but if you want to protect your new FMF Gnarly (just for example) there are plenty of options. E-Line Accessories has a wide variety of carbon fiber pipe guards, not just for 2 strokes but 4 strokes as well. Slap some trusty Carbon fiber on your new Megabomb header, and you won't have to worry about denting your pipe or burning through your pants while riding! I personally have the HPG006 on my XC-W, because I know my FMF Gnarly is going to get banged up on the trail, I'd like to minimize that actual damage it takes!
Here at MojoMotoSport we do a lot of business with BulletProofDesigns, and for good reason! Their Radiator Guards will take the heaviest of beatings and are used by racers of all levels worldwide. Of course, radiators aren't as exposed as other parts on a dirtbike, so you certainly could take your chances and hope you don't lay our bike over or get them impaled by a branch in tight singletrack, but once that radiator gets bent or cracked you are going to have a whole heap of problems. A couple years ago I was out in the Nevada desert and my buddy cracked his radiator and ended up asking his another guy for a loaner bike because... you guessed it! He fell one time and didn't have Radiator Guards! I'll admit it was a funny crash, but again no one wants to be that guy.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I absolutely will not ride anywhere that isn't a track without a good skid plate. The various amounts of logs, rocks, and boulders I encounter on my rides are just too unpredictable to not protect the bottom of the frame. While my old KTM doesn't have linkage suspension, what I've found to be really cool is the variety of options for new bikes to protect that suspension. For example, the plastic Acerbis Skid Plates are all completely compatible with the Universal Linkage Guard, so you can just mount it up with ease for extra protection. Another vendor that has been in our store for a long time is TM Designworks, a huge leader in protective parts in the off-road industry for years with their hard plastic skid plates. If you prefer the CNC Aluminum route, Enduro Engineering is a big name that simply has awesome skid plates for nearly every bike, either in a standard Skid Plate or Extreme Skid Plate option, with the Extreme Skid Plates offering more overall coverage on areas such as the footpeg mounts and extended side wings on the sides. Last but certainly not least is E-Line Accessories once again. Extremely lightweight carbon fiber composite construction, their skid plates have strength in all the right places to protect your cases and frame rails from severe damage. Of course, at the end it all comes down to your personal preference. Right now I have a Enduro Engineering skid plate on my bike, but I'd likely try out a TM Designworks skid plate on my next upgrade!
I'll admit it, I'm one of those guys who will never run open ended hand guards! As a rider who tumbles and falls a little bit more than I'd like, I am all about saving my levers and am not interesting in replacing lever after lever each ride like a couple guys I know. With that said, there are lots and lots of options for handguards, both full wrap and open end! I personally have had Cycra Probends and had no problems, but now I have Enduro Engineering's EVO Full Wrap Kit just to switch it up! G2 Ergonomics Handguards have been in our store for a long time now and people seem to have nothing but good things to say about their products! Where Open End guards are concerned, lots of styles, colors, and set ups are available. In recent years, big name brands such as Acerbis and Enduro Engineering have came up with special handguards that mount onto the control perches of your handlebars to free up real estate for more controls. Then of course we have the rest of the very popular line of Acerbis handguards that people have come to prefer and love! When deciding what handguards to get, just keep a couple things in mind. With open ended (moto) hand guards you run a greater risk of breaking levers in the event of a crash, whereas with full wrap (enduro) handguards there are risk of hand injuries when crashing as it is possible to get your arm stuck. While there are positives and negatives for all handguards, they're all better than having nothing! Regardless, if you ever do manage to break levers off, make sure they are our MOJO Brand Lever Sets so that they can be replaced for free under our Lifetime Warranty!
A bent brake rotor is something I wouldn't wish upon anybody. Even the slightest tweak can prevent either wheel from even spinning anymore, and as you could probably imagine that defeats the whole purpose of a dirtbike. In a way, it's sort of the same situation as handguards, where you could take your chances and think "Stuff like that never happens to me!" (I do this a lot actually) OR you can simply make one purchase and not have to worry about your rotor again with a high quality disc guard. The BulletProofDesigns Sharkfins are a very popular option with their sleek-looking Billet Aluminum products. If you're looking for a little bit lower profile, TM Designworks offers high quality hard plastic disc guard fins in a solid range of colors. For the Carbon Fiber enthusiasts out there, you can choose from E-Line Accessories once again for their Universal Front Disc Guard, or there's the Acerbis X-Future Front Disc Cover for a great alternative option. Lastly, considering that this a blog on MojoMotoSport.com, there is no way I am not going to point out the awesome MOJO Rear Disc Guards backed by our Lifetime Warranty! I personally run the MOJO-RDG-ORG on my KTM and it is just a great all around Disc Guard. I even got myself a great BulletProofDesigns Front Disc Guard after bending enough front rotors and it looks great on any bike!
