The Garmin Messenger app — compatible with select inReach devices from Garmin — can be used for easy texting. A smartphone with the Garmin Messenger app is required to exchange voice messages and photos with inReach Messenger Plus.
By downloading the app to your smartphone and pairing it with your compatible inReach device, you can easily communicate with friends and family — even if they don’t own an inReach device.
You can use the app to text back and forth, even when you’re out of cellular coverage. Plus, support for group messaging lets you connect with multiple contacts simultaneously. You can also send and receive emojis and react to messages with a Tapback.
