TSP Top End Rebuild Kit – 300cc Carb & TPI Models
This TSP Top End Rebuild Kit will fit KTM, Husky and Gas Gas 300cc TPI models from 2018-on. (It will not fit TBI models) This is a complete top end rebuild kit that comes with everything you need to rebuild the top of of your 300cc TPI two stroke.
The TSP Top End Rebuild Kit includes:
- Meteor piston kit with your choice of an A, B or C piston size. Piston kit includes rings, pin, circlips and a high quality cast piston. These pistons are made by Meteor in Italy and are THE BEST available. The current Meteor piston features a special coating on the crown to reduce temps of the incoming charge and reduce detonation. This is a cutting edge piston developed especially for KTM.
- Top end gasket kit. Includes two gaskets to achieve the stock 0.60mm thickness base gasket, power valve cover gaskets, copper washers and O-rings. All O-rings are the correct size and made from the correct material, unlike the cheaper aftermarket kits.
- TSP little end bearing
- EZ clips free of charge ($20 value) for ease of piston installation
TSP rebuild kits are put together by TSP using parts sourced direct from OEM manufacturers in Japan and Europe. The parts we select are THE BEST available for each make/model and many are the exact same parts as the genuine items.
Piston Sizing: ideally you should measure your bore with a dial gauge to work out the correct piston sizing. If you cannot do this then a general rule of thumb is to install an “A” piston on any new cylinder or a cylinder that was just replated. Install a “B” piston on the first top end rebuild between 80 – 90 hours. Install the “C” piston on the second top end rebuild at 150+ hours. The 300 C piston kit is unique to the TSP Top End rebuild Kit collection. TSP recommends a minimum piston to cylinder bore clearance of 0.07 mm.
